NaI Scintillation Survey Meter

This is a radiation detector equipped with a scintillator (NaI) that emits light when exposed to radiation. The emitted light is measured with a photomultiplier tube. NaI scintillation survey meter is widely used as a survey meter for γ-rays. Measured values are displayed in units of dose rate μSv/h, and measurements up to 30 μSv/h are possible. Since it also detects naturally occurring radiation, it has a background count of about 0.1 μSv/h.
