ZnS Scintillation Survey Meter

This survey meter uses ZnS(Ag) as a scintillator to detect α-particles. Because of a short range of α-particles, the thin film is used on the detector surface and is easily damaged. Therefore, careful handling is required for this survey meter. The background count is almost zero. The detection sensitivity for α-particles is quite high, and this survey meter can detect extremely small amounts of contamination with α-emitting radionuclides.
