Area Monitor

This is a device that continuously monitors surrounding dose rate by measuring γ-rays with an ionization chamber. Area monitors are installed at several locations in the radiation controlled area. When the dose rate in the vicinity increases, an alarm is issued to warn radiation workers for danger.
