Glovebox

A glove box is a device designed to create an environment that is sealed off from the outside of the box by filling the inside of the box with inert gas. The box is used to minimize the risk of internal exposure of workers and leakage to the outside when handling highly radioactive unsealed radiation sources. It is also used when handling compounds that are unstable to gas molecules such as water and oxygen in the air.
