Single Crystal X-ray Diffraction Structural Analysis System

This system reveals the three-dimensional structure of molecules from X-ray diffraction images obtained when a single crystal of a compound is irradiated with X-rays. The measurement is available for both inorganic and organic materials as long as they are single crystals. Since the position of atoms can be accurately determined, it is possible to discuss differences in oxidation numbers and electronic states of metal ions, as well as interactions such as hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking in crystals. The system is equipped with a one-photon detection hybrid pixel detector, which enables highly accurate and quick measurements. In addition, the measurement can be cooled from room temperature to 100 K using a cryostat.
