Ultracentrifuge

A centrifuge is a device that applies a large centrifugal force to a sample to separate the components that make up that sample. This device in particular operates at a maximum speed of 150,000 rpm and is capable of concentrating and separating viruses and proteins that cannot be separated by low speed centrifuges. The rotation speed can be programmed and sample volumes of up to 6*32.4 mL can be separated.
